K36 Lammschlucht Gorge – Stabilisation of Engineering Structures
The numerous engineering structures and foundations in the Lammschlucht Gorge in the area between Chlusstalden and Under Tänndli were in poor condition. In May 2015 the structures were repaired thus ensuring their stability for the next 10 years. Numerous supports on the valley-side overhangs were widened with steel sections or concrete pillars. The drainage was expanded in some critical areas to divert water away from the structures. The foundations of several concrete slabs and the northeastern abutment of the Chlusbodenbrücke were secured with anchored concrete consoles. Repairs were made to the overhangs and natural stone wall infills.
Construction lasted five weeks and took place without interrupting traffic.
