K32 Cantonal Road: Moosmatt Roundabout, Access Road and Entrance Area of Exhibition Centre
As part of the project to lower the central railway and construction of the new stop at Allmend the busy transport node at the Horwer and Moosmatt roads had to be replaced by a roundabout.
The new concrete roundabout has an inner diameter of 16m and an outer diameter of 32m. In addition the two bus stops along Horwer Road and both bus bays were built with concrete. As a result of the new roundabout and the Allemend train stop the whole design of the entrance area and the access road to the exhibition centre were regenerated.
