K65b Buchrain Junction / Construction of New Rontal Slip Road
Buchrain tunnel is part of the Rontal slip road which connects the cantonal roads K17 and K65. The tunnel has a length of 862m of which 120m were constructed above ground in the western section and 17m in the eastern section. In the middle of the tunnel there is a partition niche, the 5 SOS recesses are located along the length. The safety tunnel below the carriageway leads to the exits at the east and west tunnel portals. The power control systems are integrated into the portal areas.
