At the weekend, the construction site of the Sihl relief tunnel in Thalwil opened its doors to the public - and the interest was overwhelming: around 18,000 visitors took the opportunity to take an exclusive look at this key infrastructure project.
During an impressive tour of the tunnels, visitors were able to experience at first hand how a once-in-a-century structure is being built here, which will better protect the city of Zurich and the Limmat Valley from flooding in the future. Culinary delights, music and a varied supporting programme turned the event into a celebration for young and old.
We are proud to be playing a key role in this important project - and thus making an important contribution to safety and quality of life in the region.
A big thank you to all the organisers and, of course, to the many visitors who made this day an unforgettable experience.
